THE BATTLE OF CORYDON

Welcome to Battle of Corydon.org

Welcome to Battle of Corydon.org

The Battle of Corydon was fought on July 9, 1863 in Harrison County, Indiana and was the only Civil War battle to occur on Indiana soil, and was one of only a few Civil War battles fought north of the Mason-Dixon Line.

This website has been developed to make available the primary accounts describing the battle itself and documenting Morgan’s trek through Harrison County through the use of newspaper accounts, militia reports, eye-witness reports, journals, diaries, letters, and books, etc. New information and sources are constantly being added to this website, so please check back often.
